Programs like choirs, dance groups, sports, and school bands are included in their curriculum. Matthew Pearce Public School band is one of the school's pride. Under the musical direction of Garry Clark, it consists of at least 170 students grouped in 3 bands.

The school is open for Kindergarten until 6th grade. The population of school student is approximately 1,395. Compared to other nearby public schools, like Winston Hills (600+) Crestwood (700+), Winston Heights (400+), its population has the highest.

Annually, the school conducts a Band camp which is held in Vision Valley. This allows the students to develop their talents in music through tutorials, whole band practice, and concert.

Recent winnings of the band were highly recognized by the institution. The Senior band participated in McDonald's Sydney Eisteddfod and NSW Band festival where they were awarded gold medals. The band also played at the Festival of Choral Music held at Sydney Opera House. On the other hand, the Junior band also participated in McDonald's Sydney Eisteddfod where they bagged the first place and awarded with gold medals.

At the end of each year, the school band performs at school events like school recognition and school assemblies to exhibit their skills and talents.
