For Sale at 1stDibs. This is a stunning silk twill dress fashioned along a Westernized version of the cheongsam. It is by Adele Simpson but is unlabeled. I actually has the exact twin of this dress many years ago so know with absolute certainty that it is by her! There is a depth and richness to the silk that you just don't get the full impact of till you see it in person. The exterior of the dress is a Hermes scarf weight silk twill that is screened with that amazing explosion of multi colored flowers. The colors run rampant over the entire piece from the simple, sleeveless, high collared bodice to the skirt that sweeps to the floor in a simple column of fabric. I love how the contrasting bands of design at the neck and how that is picked up again at the hem. And how can you not love the scattering of dots n the background? Lovely and in great condition!
